Inspired by people, places, animals, light and colour: Dylan Finney’s work explores the ephemeral.
Dylan Finney is an Australian-born Artist and Graphic Designer currently living on Darkinjung Land. Whilst his Dad was born in England, he is a proud descendant of the Marra, Ngalakgan and Yanyuwa clans in Arnhem Land on his Mother’s side. When not exploring the local bushland he can be found in the studio drawing or painting.
His art seeks to capture the feeling of a moment. People are typically the vehicle through which he explores identity and culture, often playing with form and perspective. Whilst he does occasionally paint with acrylic, working digitally lends his portraits, genre pieces, and murals a vibrancy that depicts the intensity of the subjective experience.
He is currently available for commissioned work and will gladly answer any questions you may have about his work or his process.
